"Again"...AGAIN!

So now Youtube has joined the Momento Mori party! ;D
Posted on Flyleaf's official Youtube account, I give you the embedded "Again" video.
You guys remember when they were so active here at Buzznet? They sort of forgot about us amoungst all of their growing popularity. Start sending them messages, leaving them comments, and getting your friends to add them and maybe they'll realize we want 'em back, yeah? :P

"Again" video + Memento Mori's pre-order

Hey guys! I'm back doing some teaming for Flyleaf, announing the pre-order of Memento Mori, which goes public in just a matter of days! The album releases November 10th (I really do think thats the correct realease this time. Cross your fingers that it doesn't get pushed back again!), so you have a bit of time to get your orders in.

Speaking of again (hey, I said the word once up there. Why not segway?), the music video for "Again", the first single from the new album, premiered a few days ago on mtv.com. I'm embedding the video here for you so you don't have to travel all the way there and wait for another page to load. :D Enjoy, kiddos!

Again

I'm back on another mission from the street team! (Yep, you're going to have to hear some more pressuringly passionatte speaches about joining. ;) Just let me work up to it for the end of this journal.)

I told you kiddos Flyleaf's new single, "Again", from their upcoming sophmore album, "Memento Mori", (ah yes, I am so excellent at pitches) would be available for digital download a couple weeks ago. For those of you who never came across that entry, you missed out on the songs premiere on August 25th. But never fear! It's not going anywhere, and you can go stop by your favorite digital retailer to purchase it at any time. Since you've got nothing better to do than read my journal right now (or maybe you do and you're shirking your responsibilities), why not go now? :D

And here's that speach I promised.
I'm here on orders from Flyleaf's official street team. We're a dedicated group of fans who love the band so much that we volunteer to promote them and spread their message. We do online missions (such as the one I'm doing at this very second) using web tools provided by the team (take a look at the two banners in this entry for an example), and/or physical missions by passing out SWAG, which is also provided by the team, at shows, music stores, lifestyle stores, and anywhere else people who would be interested in Flyleaf might hang out. In return for our work, we receive exclusive previews and news from the band, the chance to win some really cool contests, possible free tickets to their shows (as long as you're going as a volunteer on behalf of the band), and the chance to connect all over the world. I've made some of my closest friends on the street team. :D
If you're interested in joining, just click the banner below and fill out the sign up form on the page you're taken to. There's a referral mission going on right now, in which the winners will recieve some really awesome Flyleaf merch. I'd love you to help me by signing up, and then you can give it a run yourself! (Remember to NOT take the name "faithlives" out of the "Referred" box on the signup form. If you do, I lose that credit.)

And just so you know, being a part of the street team is completely free! :D

MTV Interviews Flyleaf

MTV caught up with Flyleaf on their video shoot for "Again" (Who bought the single today? In case you forgot, it went on sale this morning and you can now purchase it at your favorite digital retailer!) and interviewed the band about Memento Mori. Check out the full story at http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1619176/20090820/flyleaf.jhtml and watch the video of Lacey below for some more news!

There's not stopping me. :P
The street team is growing on a daily basis, but Flyleaf can never have too many supporters! Each of us volunteers is so honoured and happy to spread this band's message, and to refer fans (old and new!) to this cause. If you're interested in dedicating a bit of your time to Flyleaf, give the banner below a click to join. For free!

As a member of Flyleaf's street team, you'll help spread the word on Flyleaf with online missions by using web tools (just like I'm doing now) and/or recieving SWAG to pass out at shows, music shops, on the street, or anywhere else you can think of! There's a referral mission going on right now, in which the winners will recieve some really awesome Flyleaf merch. I'd love you to help me by signing up, and then you can give it a run yourself!

FLYLEAF!

The first single from Flyleaf's sophmore album, Momento Mori, hits US radio and digital download on August 25th!
Some of you may have been lucky enough to hear Again at a show sometime over the last two years or so (I was! :D), or perhaps you've seen a live video of it, and so you know how beautiful this song truly is. The lyrics changed in the studio a bit, but the songs message is definitely still the same.

Some more great news: Flyleaf launched a brand new website at the beginning of this summer, though it was closed to everyone but street team members until just a few days ago. This is because the new site is a profile community where fans can upload content, create blogs, customize thier profile page, etc. and we were all getting things set up for the fan base at large. :D If you're interested in joining the community, head over to www.flyleafmusic.com!

Finally, we have some answers! More are coming every day, and us street teamers are doing our very best to spread the word to unsuspecting and impatient fans. If you want to join us in our mission, sign up by clicking the banner below. It's completely free! You'll help spread the word on Flyleaf with online missions by using web tools (just like I'm doing now) and/or recieving SWAG to pass out at shows, music shops, on the street, or anywhere else you can think of! Help! We need your votes!

Cheyenne and I entered a background contest on a fansite for Green Day called GDA (Green Day Authority) about a week ago, and our entries were accepted! :D This means that if our backgrounds get the most votes, we win a limited edition poster! Hurry and help us out, because we only have until Thursday!
You don't need to be a Green Day fan to help us out. All we need is two minutes of your time for you to fill in the bubbles by our entries and click the submit button. You don't have to sign up for anything, answer any questions, or fill out any information at all. Three clicks of your mouse and you're done!
We would both really, really appreciate your help on this. We're huge Green Day fans, and this would mean so much to both of us to win. I'm including a tutorial with screen shots to show you exactly how to vote for us.

1. Go to http://www.greendayauthority.com/contests/

2. Scroll to nearly the bottom of the page you are taken to until you see this: Photobucket

3. On the left column, fill in the little bubble (it will become blue when it's selected) beside the entry titled "Created By: Hayley Sheets". On the right hand column, fill in the bubble titled "Created By: Cheyenne". Below is how your screen should then look, minus the red boxes and the green highlighted text. I did that to show you the entries you should be voting for. Photobucket

4. Scroll all the way to the buttom of the screen and click the 'Submit' button. Photobucket

Please make sure you have both entries selected before you submit your votes. Each computer is only allowed to vote once, so if you forget to fill in a bubble than you've wasted one half of your vote. =(

Search and Win

Cheyenne just referred me to the most amazing website ever, called Swag Bucks.
It's a search engine powered by Google and ask.com, where you simply search the net using either a Swag Bucks homepage or toolbar, and you earn Swag Bucks to trade in for merchendise from your favorite bands, entertainers, sports teams, etc. Prizes include T-shirts, CD's, books, posters/prints, patches, jewelery, etc.
And did I mention that it's completely free?

Come on, kiddos. We all use search engines. But only Swag Bucks will reward you for your searches with internet money that you can trade in for real prizes. You can join as many search and win sites as you want using the same account for all of them.
So far I've joined two: Chester Bennington and WWE. If you're interested in using either of them, I would greatly appreciate if you used the banner below to do so. It'll get me a referral Swag Buck. :D

For anyone who is interested in finding out what other entertainers have their own Swab Bucks site, go to www.swagbucks.com.

Dear Esther

Two days ago on Passerby Army, a user named the punisher proposed the idea of us fans doing something nice and unexpected for Esther, like give her flowers. I suggested the idea of creating a scrapbook specially for Esther, volunteering Brittany of FlyleafOnline, though I don't know her personally, to accept fan submissions, create the book, and give it to Sameer to take to Esther. Brittany came into the forum we were discussing this on, and instead of telling me off, she said she was down for this plan. =)

For those of you who don't know, Esther Boyalapalli was diagnosed with medullablastoma in stage 4 a few months ago. She is Sameer's 22 year old cousin, who he says is as close as a sister to him.

Most of us have been praying for Esther already, and here is our chance to show her just how much support and love we all have for her. Send prayers, letters, photos, and anything else you can think of to brittany@flyleafonline.com. Even if you only write a few sentences, send them in, because every little thing we do could her raise her spirits in this difficult time.

To keep upated on Esther's condition or donate money to her cure, make sure and keep visiting www.helpsaveesther.com.

Momento Mori

Here I am, back to the streets again. ;D

This Sunday, you can find me at Riverfest in Little Rock, AR forcing Flyleaf SWAG on everyone who has a hand to take it with. Flyleaf's second studio album, Momento Mori, is coming out in late August/early September, and us street teamers are dedicating all of our free time from now until the release to getting the rest of the world ready for it. And after the release, you can find us at shows, in music stores, and online, still pushing Flyleaf at you. Give in and get on board now, before we annoy the life out of you.

Below I'm attaching a studio slideshow and video, which you should all watch immediatelly. And if you have some extra time after that, go watch this video of Flyleaf performing "Beautiful Bride", the newest song we've heard that will be on their second studio album! =D

If you want to help promote Flyleaf like I am doing as you read this, just go join the official street team! For absolutely no charge, you'll receive Flyleaf exclusives, the chance to go to shows for free, the satisfaction of volunteering to help a band you love, and much more. (Please remember to put the username faithlives in the 'referred by' box, so that the team leader knows I've been doing my part.)

And if you've got $25 to spare, join Passerby Army, Flyleaf's official fanclub. By joining, you will gain access to exclusive media, news, presale tickets, merch. contests, exclusive message and chat boards, and much more! Enter the username fullyalive in the 'Referred By' box on the sign-up form to help me win an awesome referral prize!

The Static Age

I received my copy of 21st Century Breakdown in the mail at the last minute yesterday, on the release date. And I'm only just now getting to making a post about it. How terrible of me.

I've been listening to it for the past day, and I really do enjoy it. Of course it's not my favorite, because Nimrod will forever hold that spot. But it's definitely a good record. =)
So far my favorite song is The Static Age. Although if we're including bonus tracks, Lights Out takes the title.

Now I'm getting more excited for August 8th, when I will find myself seated in the AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX. (Grr, three months is so long to wait!) I'm looking forward to the extremely long road trip we'll be taking to get there, and the week we'll spend in Texas. (And no, that is not sarcasm. I love road trips with my family.)
What's ironic is that the first (and last, for that matter) time I saw Green Day live was in Dallas. It was the first stadium show I ever attended, I was twelve, and my parents drove me and my sister all the way there to skip the entire first week of seventh grade. My parents truly are fantastic. This time we don't have to worry about that, though, because I've been homeschooled for the last two years, and I'm about to get my GED and quit school altogether. Yes, I'm a brilliant example for children.

For you kids who still haven't bought 21st Century breakdown, use the gates to Green Day below to do so. You can also access tour dates, news, songs, and all other things GD from this widget.

Sing Us A Song For Me

We are now officially eleven hours away from the 21st Century Breakdown. ;)

I've posted this before, and I'll be posting about it again. (So much so that you'll probably just take me right off your friends list out of annoyance. But when you really love something, you obsess over it to the point of making other obsess over it with you, right?)
If you haven't pre-ordered the album yet (Where have you been?!), there's still just a bit of time to do it now. You won't receive the album tomorrow, but it will surely get to you within a few days. Or if you can't wait and you want it at 12:01, pre-order the album from iTunes now for exclusive songs and a digital booklet. The songs are PRE-ORDER ONLY, so if you plan on buying from iTunes anyway, do it right now for those songs.
And for those of you who don't care to pre-order at all, stop by Best Buy or Target tomorrow to purchase the album. Both stores have a different edition with their own special features. For more details, go to Green Day's official site, or use the links on the widget below.

A New Era

Bye bye, red hair. I loved you and I will miss you, but it was time for a change.

So two months ago I changed my hair from candy apple red (So gorgeous!) to boring, copper red. I pretty much hated it, but it had to be done. Why, you ask? Because, unfortunately, the candy apple red stayed on my hair for over a year, and it did over a year's worth of damage. Plus, I have to get a job to start earning money, and I can count the number of places that would have employed me without changin my hair color on just about 2 fingers.
Today I changed my hair again; style and color. It's super dark now (And I'm loving it!) and it's big and choppy and messy and...GORGEOUS. I promist pictures soonsoonsoon, within the next few days. I can't wait to get a new profile pic up. ;D

So guess what? 12:01!
"Know Your Enemy"'s music video came out just like 15 minutes ago. (P.S. Green Day - You lied. 12:01? No, you posted that video at 11: 50.)
I'm trying to be patient as I wait for iTunes to get it so I can buy it! It's frustrating, though, and I am usually a very impatient person. I know it normally only takes a day or so after the premiere for them to get it. But still...Did I mention I was impatient? x)
Everyone remember to buy that video when it's available. Or at least go and watch it on one of Green Day's official pages. And if you haven't bought "Know Your Enemy" (the song) yet, go do that now. Pirate it and I'll come blow your computer up.

If you haven't pre-ordered 21st Century Breakdown yet, now is the time to do it! It's getting closer to release, and you're running out of time to do so. Get your order in now and rest easy knowing that you'll have the album on May 15th. You want this one, kids. You really do.

Street Legal

As of 11 o'clock this morning, I am officially street legal. That's right; I have a driver's license.

Okay, well not literally yet. I still have to go get the actual hard copy. But I do have my permit with the little seal of approval that allows me to go and get it.

Let me just tell you; I thought I was going to pass out or throw up or cry (Or all three at once!) this morning before I had to take the driver's test. I don't do well with nerves usually (I bite the insides of my lips when I'm nervous. Yes, cringe in horror and disgust now; it's not pretty.), and this was definetely a nervous-making situation. Driving a car with a state trooper sitting in the passenger seat writing on a tiny clipboard? Not my idea of fun, children.
Anyway, Cheyenne made me go first (of course). "Hayley, you were born first. That means you should go first. blahblahblah." She told me later it was for my best interest and that she was only looking out for me, because she knows how bad I am with worrying over things. She's right, of course, but I'll still give her a hard time over that. xD

This was one of the easiest things I think I have ever done. The woman who did the test (I can't remember her name.) made me feel really comfortable once she got in the car. She leaned back in her seat with the window down to enjoy the wind on her face (I loled) and kept talking to me in her really pleasant voice (She swore a couple times. I loved it.). I drove down the road at 45 mph, pulled a U-turn, and was back in Troop K's parking lot. It took  2 minutes (literally) and then I found my permit back in my hand with the stamp on it that meant I passed!

So look for me on the roads; alone (Cheyenne doesn't count.), free, and begging for gas money.

And while we're on the subject of streets; why don't I just post this pretty little widget? It's for Green Day's new album, 21st Century Breakdown, hitting shelves on May 15th. If you haven't pre-ordered your copy yet, do it now before it's too late for your order to be processed. If you hit the deadline in time, you're garunteed a copy of the album in your hands on the release date. And the best part? No waiting in ridiculous lines or taking time off from your lunch break to go grab a copy from FYE. All you have to do is wait for the mail to come.

Also, if you haven't bought "Know Your Enemy", the first single, go do it nownownow!

Know Your Enemy

I. AM. IN. LOVE.

Who else bought Know Your Enemy today? I've been listening to it over and over again since I got it earlier, and I must say this song is definetely a new favorite. But, of course, it's Green Day, so it's gotta be a favorite. ;D
Also, "Effigy" is officially my second favorite word, losing only to any variation of the word "live" (life, alive, living, etc.). I didn't know what it meant at all until I hunted it up in an online dictionary the other day, when Cheyenne mentioned something about it. Thank you, Cheyenne and Green Day. x)

Anyway, this has just gotten me more excited and anxious for 21st Century Breakdown. I can't wait for May 15th, when we'll all be able to hear the rest of this epic album. I think it's going to be huge, kidds. HUGE.

Go pre-order your copy ASAP to ensure you get it on the release date.

No waiting in lines. No worry over it selling out before you get to it. Just pre-order and it's garunteed to be in your hands on May 15th!

21st Century Breakdown

Go pre-order now, to ensure you get a copy on May 15th. =D

Anyone else here as crazy over street teams as I am? I really rather doubt it.
I am addicted to joining my favorite bands' teams, and then promoting until my fingers bleed. If you don't know much about street teams, I strongly suggest you go look your favorite band's team up right now. If you're really serious about them and you'd like to help their music get heard by more ears, go join now, because it's definetely the right place for you. =)
In street teams (Which are completely free, by the way!), you get the chance to win prizes such as tickets and autographed merch, by doing missions like the one I'm doing right now, as well as going to shows and passing out supplied SWAG(Stuff We All Get).

If Green Day is one of the bands you'd like to start teaming for, go here http://thestreetnetwork.sparkart.com/greenday/index.php?noredirect to sign up and get started! Upon sign up, in the box where it says 'who were you reffered by', please put the username 'dead_beat'.
In Green Day's team, you'll be helping spread the word on the release of 21st Century Breakdown and their upcoming tour. You get new on the band before fans who aren't teamers, the chance to win prizes from the band themselves, and the chance to connect with fans all over the world. For free.
Remember, put dead_beat in the 'Referred By' box upon signup. ;)
